See the whole road before you take the first step
Pick a career. You get the training time, what you earn at each stage, how that differs between a metro and a Tier-2/3 town, the companies hiring in India, and exactly what to do in month one.
AI & Machine Learning
Build systems that learn from data the fastest-growing hiring line in Indian tech, and the one most exposed to hype. Real jobs need maths, Python and shipped projects.

Every rung lists the real job title, what it pays, and the skills that get you to the next one.

Your first month
Four things you can start this week, in order.
- Finish Python plus pandas not tutorials, one real dataset you care about, cleaned end to end.
- Rebuild one public model from scratch and write down where it fails. That write-up is your first portfolio piece.
- Learn SQL properly. Nearly every ML interview in India still opens with SQL.
- Ship one project publicly with a README explaining the business problem, not the algorithm.
Most "AI jobs" advertised are actually data or analytics jobs. That is good news those roles hire far more people, pay well, and are the normal way in. Chasing a research role with no degree behind it wastes years.
